See It: Here’s a shot that gives you the feel of sea otter play in Morro Bay. This location was very easy to access from the flat walking path along the bay, northwest of central Morro Bay, California, USA. There were numerous sea otters swimming, diving, resting, and playing in the water near the path. I could have spent an hour watching and chuckling at their aquatic antics! Parking was convenient in nearby Coleman Park (goo.gl/maps/TDLqPBA765q), then walk southwest toward the mouth of the bay. More about Morro Bay (morrobay.org), Sea Otters (seaotters.com).
Shoot It: This shot was using a Canon 7D DSLR (crop factor 1.6), Canon EF70-200mm f/2.8 lens + 2x teleconverter at 292mm and f/5.6, 1/640 sec, and ISO800, through a circular polarizing filter, on monopod, on May 1, 2017 at 7:52 AM. Location:(goo.gl/maps/zv1oif6wmg22). Basic adjustments in Photoshop Lightroom.
Improve It: Why do you think I used a circular polarizing filter for this image? What problems are you having with your photographs? Let me know at Inquiries@GibsonOutdoorPhoto.com and I will share some tips to overcome these issues in a future blog post.
