Here you can see hundreds of the famous, tall, and long-lived saguaro (səˈ(g)wärō) cactus. One of these beauties happened to grow right next to a tall rock formation, allowing me (and you!) to enjoy this bird-eye view! There are several pullouts along the highway where you can park and walk on- or off-trail. But do be careful while enjoying this spectacular desert wonderland; a wide variety of thorny cacti are all about, including the apt-named ‘jumping’ cholla.
